What is a bespoke project?

A bespoke project is a service whose scope is tailored specifically to a home. It may cover an entire home, several rooms or one particular area, and include the stages, documents and level of support the client needs.
Depending on the project, it may include: layout, creative, concept, moodboards, materials, lighting, furniture or certain project-related management services.

A proposal is usually developed once the concept and overall design direction have been agreed with the client. The rooms, deliverables, revisions, visits and possible stages of support are set out in the proposal before work begins.
This gives the client a clear understanding of: what they will receive, which decisions they will need to make, which parts of the process they will handle personally, and which additions could be considered at a later stage.

Bespoke does not mean unstructured. It means defining a structure proportionate to each project.

The project can grow over time, but any extension is assessed and quoted according to the new scope.

One room, several areas or an entire home

The size of a space does not determine the complexity of a project on its own. A living room may need a new layout, a complete furniture scheme, lighting, curtains, art and a more seamless connection with the terrace. A bedroom may include a dressing room, bathroom, lighting, textiles and bespoke pieces, while a separate terrace may require a layout, materials, shade, furniture, lighting and outdoor textiles. Equally, an entire home may only need a restrained intervention focused on a few specific elements.
María works on both entire homes and individual rooms. There is no universal minimum scope for every project.
Every enquiry is assessed to determine:

• which problem needs to be solved;
• which stages are required;
• which deliverables can add value;
• and which scope will achieve a coherent result.

The complimentary initial conversation provides this preliminary assessment.

The aim is not to measure the project solely by its floor area, but by the decisions needed to make it work and feel complete.

Separate terraces and other outdoor areas are also considered.
